“Powered by Mazda’s ‘KODO’ philosophy, age-old Japanese principles of craftsmanship and minimalism came to life in sustainable design—gracefully curated for the contemporary lifestyle”
Project Description
Virtue (the agency born from Vice) needed a copywriter to head up a new editorial and film campaign for Mazda’s first all-electric vehicle, the MX-30: press release, editorial segment and film scripting
Powered by Mazda’s ‘KODO’ philosophy, age-old Japanese principles of craftsmanship and minimalism came to life in sustainable design – gracefully curated for the contemporary lifestyle. To explore this ‘human modern’ approach, next-generation designers reviewed the MX-30. In this campaign, American-born homeware-designer Rachel Griffin and Dutch industrial product-developer Wisse Trooster turn their lens on Mazda’s premiere EV—a sustainability-driven embodiment of KODO.
