Project Description
Pushing Boarders is a collaboration between four socially-conscious skateboarding organisations: SkatePal, Long Live Southbank, Skateism & Re-verb Skateboarding; which, between them, have expertise in the fields of skateboarding charities, public space & activism, diversity & inclusion and skateboarding academia
In 2018, Pushing Boarders was born as the world’s first academic conference for skateboarding. Edition One took place in London, and I – alongside Skateism – was featured on a panel concerning the gender landscape in skateboarding.
In 2019, Pushing Boarders was invited to collaborate with the annual Swedish skate competition Skate Malmö Street – the result: Pushing Boarders Malmö. Now on the organisation panel, and acting as creative consultant, I worked with the team to create a series of panel discussions, manage logistics and guide all visual assets for the conference.
